Fr\u00fcher in den Achtzigern war er bekannt durch eine Mischung aus Fleischfabriken, Nachtclubs und Prostitution, befindet sich Heute das Viertel im Wandel. Der Charakter des Viertels ist noch immer von industriellen Bauten gepr\u00e4gt. Viele Designerlabel haben seit den 1990er Jahren leerstehende Industriegeb\u00e4ude bezogen. Ein Ort zum verweilen. Die Highline Endet an der Gansevoort Street.
